What new movies are out on Rogers cable this week?
Here’s the list of movies that came out December 27 including Apollo 18, Final Destination 5, Kung Fu Panda 2, Margin Call, In the Name of the King II, Game Time, The Hunters, Hostel Part III, Pool Boys, Reflections, The Smell of Success, Zombie Apocalypse

Here’s the list of movies that came out December 20 including Colombiana, Dolphin Tale, Glee – The Concert, Midnight in Paris, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Spork, Straw Dogs, Warrior, The Rainbow Tribe (Dec. 22)
Here’s the list of the movies that came out December 13 and 16 including 13, Fright Night, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Moonlight & Mistletoe, Daylight Robbery, Freight and Circumstance.
I had to put this list together because I hate using my television remote to see what new movies are available to Rogers on Demand cable subscribers. You have to click at least five times just to see a plot summary and then return to the main menu. It’s annoyingly inefficient and time-consuming.
Rogers must post this stuff online, right?

When I couldn’t find new movie releases after an hour of searching, I called Rogers to see if there was a secret hidden movie guide. After another hour of talking with them — both the cable guys and the online guys — they informed me that, no, they don’t list their new movie releases online. (Yes, yes, I know Rogers on Demand Online says it has the new releases, but it actually doesn’t. Instead of Friends with Benefits and One Day, which both came out this week, it has a Rihanna concert.)
Just as I was about to haul off and tell the Rogers representatives how absolutely incredibly stupid that was — even by Rogers standards of incredible stupidity — Google took pity on me round about my gazillionth search.
The Rogers Plus stores have a page where they announce the new DVDs available to rent. And, since those DVDs are released on the exact same day as the movies are released on Rogers on Demand, that means the page can serve as a proxie guide for cable viewers like you and me, who would rather quickly scan the listings on the internet than clumsily click through them on our TV screens.
So, here it is then, the page where you will find not only the movies released this week, but last month and coming soon.

Of course, what Rogers still doesn’t have is a list of all their classics and comedies available on demand, but at least this is a start.
Please, please, please Amazon streaming entertainment, come to Canada soon. Or at least can we get the good version of Netflix?
Hi Ann – completely agree. The Rogers on Demand TV menu is maddening. Over the holidays I put together a site with all the movies their plots, ratings and more. You can search by new, last chance, genre, year. Check it out when you have a chance and let me know what you think. Cheers, Allard

Maybe we should all call Rogers at once wouldn’t it be nice to watch the news on TV at the same time browse a web site for a god movie to watch on Rogers,
We can’t do that though can we, nor can we even go to a video store any more
One more comment try using Rogers Listing Guide and see what Movies are on, We use to have Shaw and they colour codes the line, but we need to search , again try searching movies and see what you get
Thanks for this site
Andre
